ADVANCING POLICY AND REGIONAL COOPERATION
On December 7-9, 2019, in Tirana, Albania, CIG organized a two-day roundtable for senior officials of the political parties of the Western Balkan countries. The discussion addressed the region’s challenges on the path to EU membership and the role of the political parties in implementing democratic reforms. CIG has been supporting similar initiatives in the region for more than a decade. This CIG regional project is supported by the German Foreign Ministry. This is the second CIG meeting in this series. The first meeting was held in Skopje, North Macedonia, on October 19-20, 2019.
